I have some difficult news to share.

During a recent trip to Brisbane, I was admitted to hospital with severe pain in my right wrist and hand. While I was there, routine tests revealed that my blood count was not normal.

After returning home, I underwent a bone marrow biopsy, which confirmed that I have acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

I have decided to pursue minimal treatment, which means I may have only months to live. With the most intensive treatment available, I might have up to two years.

This is not an easy message to share, but I wanted you to hear it from me and to keep you informed about what is happening.
